Hands Across the Americas is made up of over 200 volunteers who share a passion and commitment to helping others who are less fortunate than ourselves. We offer our time, talent, and treasure to assist those people living in extreme poverty and have limited access to medical care. During annual medical missions, our teams of doctors, physician assistants, nurses and other volunteers perform operations, conduct routine medical exams and lab tests, take x-rays, dispense medicine and offer caring attention. In addition to medical support, Hands Across the Americas sponsors several programs to educate people on how to take preventative measures to improve their health to live productive lives.
